Seniors Contracts Manager

Seeking a senior level contracts manager to serve a high-performing Fortune 100 procurement organization. The successful candidate will have expert level domain knowledge in contract negotiation, documentation, and management as well as robust supplier evaluation and management skills. This role requires tight and effective collaboration with all stakeholder groups, including senior team members in procurement, legal, finance, as well as business leaders. Polished and professional communication, sophistication, and sensitivity to a wide array of business personas is essential to this role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end contracting process across various spend categories, including professional services, consulting, marketing, and technical services with a focus on delivering and communicating successful outcomes to relevant stakeholders
• Identify unusual or high-risk contractual terms, propose relevant solutions, and escalate items as needed in accordance with policy
• Partner effectively with high profile stakeholders to address items with discretion and sensitivity to mitigate risk while focusing on strategic business objectives
• Continuously improve the contracting process
• Lead the supplier review and contracting process with a goal of effectively and efficiently integrating partners who can successfully support Comcast’s acquired companies
• Report effectively on supplier performance and make recommendations to stakeholders about supplier utilization and expansion
• Negotiate effectively with suppliers to build effective relationships while also protecting the company and achieving business outcomes
• Continuously improve the supplier onboarding, evaluation, and management process

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive, relevant experience in contract negotiation and management is required
• Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
• Deep expertise in full contract lifecycle management, including: drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating substantial contracts, including Master Agreements supporting Professional Services, Consulting, Marketing, and Software categories is required
• Highly-skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating contractual and operational risks
• Advanced skillset in reviewing and negotiating risk-related clauses such as indemnity, limitation of liability, warranties, and insurance requirements
• Solid understanding of how terms in MSAs and Statements of Work (SOWs) impact organizational operations
• Ability to drive, influence and collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Business Stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with new and existing Suppliers to achieve business outcomes
• Experience with M&A-related procurement activities, including assessing and contracting with suppliers following M&A transactions, is required
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
• Significant experience supporting a Fortune 500 or larger public company is preferred
