Job Description

A school-based social worker position is available to support high school students in grades 5 through 12. This contract role offers an estimated 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to approximately 29 students receiving allocated minutes.
• Support an additional 7 students through consultative services.
• Collaborate closely with school psychologists who manage all testing processes.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
• Work with educators, families, and community resources to facilitate student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed social worker with experience in school settings.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues affecting middle and high school students.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with school-based interventions and educational regulations.
