Job Summary of the Multi-Modality TechnologistThis position is responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all X-ray and CT procedures. Communicates and works independently in performing all procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood, specializing in pediatrics. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. David’s Healthcare Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and standards. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal and team contributions.Qualifications of the Multi-Modality Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Science

EXPERIENCE:

• Two years of previous diagnostic radiology experience in acute care facility desirable

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:

• Texas Department of State Health Services – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR)
• Post-primary CT certification within 6 months of CT assignment.
• Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St. David’s HealthCare policy.
