METHUEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS VACANCY NOTICE THE AVAILABILITY OF THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON SUFFICIENT FUNDING AND ENROLLMENT TITLE: Lower School Secretary ASSIGNMENT: Tenney Grammar School QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate with at least two years of progressively responsible secretarial work; one year having been in the public sector or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, services and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Experience with computers, including Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Student Management Systems, and MUNIS Effective interpersonal and written communication skills are essential. Bilingual preferred. Primary languages spoken in the community are: English, Spanish, Arabic, and French. DUTIES: Included but not limited to: Acts as a receptionist taking, responding, and forwarding phone calls as needed Directs walk-ins and handles inquiries and deliveries Maintain student records including day-to-day attendance Oversee operations of the office Assist with building schedules and rosters Prepare correspondences and reports when required Input requisitions for purchase orders Enter staff attendance Verify and submit records for payroll Receive, document, and forward Cori forms Call for photocopier service requests Assist parents with Parent Portal accounts Maintain general supplies and facilitate supply requests from staff Responsibilities that may from time to time, be assigned by the immediate supervisor to this position. SALARY: Per Methuen Educational Secretaries Association current collective bargaining Agreement.
