ABOUT THE ROLE
\n
The Dispatcher II schedules and dispatches orders and provides excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction, minimize costs and promote company sales. The incumbent facilitates accurate and timely communication between the plant, field, customers and drivers. This role will also be responsible for helping and supporting our shipping department as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH \n
\n - Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
\n - Act as customer contact for delivery inquiries and coordinate the sales order delivery process.
\n - Manage incoming internal and external customer phone calls, exercising judgment within specification of standard practices.
\n - Ensure customers understand all relevant company policies including will calls, additional products ordered and driver responsibilities.
\n - Inform customers of warnings concerning product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations.
\n - Schedule workforce (drivers) on a daily basis with the intention of maximizing service and minimizing costs; manage drivers and monitor efficiencies throughout the day.
\n - Review next day orders to ensure they are correctly mapped, have accurate travel times, address and delivery instructions.
\n - Will be required to train and help in our shipping operation as needed.
\n - Including but not limited to sending trucks to orders as needed using Command and Command Track.
\n - Will be required to help facilitate scheduling for the following day. Including but not limited to: Evaluating next days business and making proper adjustments to ensure success on behalf of our customers and company.
\n - Ensuring that plants are in capacity and able to deliver concrete successfully on a daily basis.
\n - Schedule and optimize trucks and fleet for the following day ensuring successful and safe deliveries for our customers and company.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR \n
\n - Required Education: High School diploma/GED
\n - Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
\n - Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic experience using computers and software.
\n - Experience using dispatch and trucking software preferred.
\n - Required Technical Skills: Must have refined computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the internet.
