About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff and Advisor to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. This high-level role demands a strategic professional with a proven track record in a similar academic or executive setting. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing C-suite collaboration, guiding cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring organizational alignment with the EVPCFO's vision. Exceptional judgment, political acumen, and superior communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build consensus across a large, decentralized institution. The Chief of Staff will also be involved in advancing the EVPCFO's strategic agenda, monitoring progress, and representing the EVPCFO in various contexts. Applicants for the Chief of Staff and Advisor position at the company should have at least 7 years' relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree as a minimum requirement and an advanced degree highly preferred. The role requires a professional with unwavering personal and professional ethics, integrity, and a strong background in strategic planning and program management. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating complex institutional environments, managing multiple priorities, and addressing sensitive matters with discretion. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, high initiative, empathy, and clarity in leadership are key attributes that will distinguish success in this role. The Chief of Staff will also be expected to have a respectful, inclusive leadership style and be prepared for a fast-paced, high-visibility position that may include after-hours responsibilities and occasional travel.
